You can't eat happiness

You can't eat happiness.

You can't buy it.

You can't wear it.

You can't drive it, or drink it, or sell it, or steal it.

You can't lock it away.

You can't negotiate for it.

You can't win it, you can't marry it, you can't inherit it, you can't cheat it.

You can't smoke it, or inject it, or rent it or borrow it.

You can't campaign for it or beg for it, or talk other people into giving you theirs.

You can live happiness.

You can create it.

You can be it.

You can give it to others.

You can enjoy it.

You can share it.

You can claim it.

You can have as much as you wish.

You can enjoy it as much as you want, at any time, under any circumstance.

You can work with it, play with it, worship, travel, eat, and sleep with it.

Happiness is yours to live and yours to give, if only you will.

It comes from the inside, and the best way to experience it is to get it flowing out.

Forget about trying and striving to get happy.

Just decide to be happy, and happiness is yours.

Desiderata

Written by Max Ehrman in 1926.

Go placidly amid the noise and haste,

and remember what peace there may be in silence.

As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.

Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others,

even to the dull and ignorant; they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit.

If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter,

for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.

Keep interested in your own career, however humble;

it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.

Exercise caution in your business affairs,

for the world is full of trickery.

But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;

many persons strive for high ideals,

and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection.

Neither be cynical about love;

for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment

it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years,

gracefully surrendering the things of youth.

Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.

But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.

Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.

Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.

You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars;

you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you,

no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be.

And whatever your labors and aspirations,

in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace with your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams,

it is still a beautiful world.

Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

Happiness pandemic hits worldwide

This was originally reported as a disease but as I know this is the way we are all meant I a have edited the text to reflect this potentially contagious condition to be one of  TOTAL EASE.  -  Deb Clemente

A worldwide epidemic is spreading worldwide with an enormous speed. The WWO (World-Wellness-Organization) foresees billions of people being infected in the coming decade.

Here are the most prominent symptoms of this extreme condition:

1- The tendency to let yourself be guided by intuition instead of acting under pressure of fear, forced ideas and past conditioned behavior.

2- A total loss of interest in judging others, judging yourself and preoccupation with things that create conflict.

3- A complete loss of the capacity to worry – This is one of the most serious symptoms.

4- A continual pleasure in appreciating humans and things the way they are, which strengthens one’s tendency not wanting to change others.

5- The desire to change yourself so that innate thoughts, feelings, emotions, body matters are managed in a way they facilitate health, creativity and love.

6- Repetitive attacks of smiling : a smile that says “thank you” and stimulates being one with all around.

OOPS - YOU CAUGHT ME SMILING....

7- A growing openness towards childishness, simplicity, laughter and happiness.

8- More frequent moments of communication with one’s soul in non-duality, that creates the pleasant feeling of fulfillment and joy.

9- Finding pleasure in acting as a healer who spreads joy and light instead of criticism and indifference.

10- The ability to effortlessly live alone, related, with family or in a community on a basis of equality, without the need to play a role as executioner or wanting to be sacrificed.

11- A feeling of responsibility and joy to offer the world one’s dreams of an abundant, harmonic and peaceful future.

12- Total acceptance of one’s own presence on earth and the will to choose each moment for what’s gracious, good, truthful and alive.

Do you want to continue living in fear, dependency, conflict, disease and conformism, then avoid at all cost people who display these symptoms, since TOTAL EASE is very contagious. If you already have these symptoms, know your condition is probably very hopeless. Medical treatment can temporarily repress the symptoms, although the progress of the disease is inevitable. There just isn’t an anti-happiness-vaccine.

Because this TOTAL EASE causes the loss of fear of death, a central pillar upon which the belief of materialistic modern-day society rests, a risk of societal turmoil with a complete loss of interest in warfare and to always be right, gatherings of happy people who sing, dance and celebrate life, emergence of people who celebrate their (physical and spiritual) healing, crises of extreme joy and collective emotional vent are at hand.

"Indeed, for both the rich and the poor, life is dominated by an ever growing current of problems, most of which seem to have no real and lasting solution. Clearly we have not touched the deeper causes of our troubles. It is the main point of this book that the ultimate source of all these problems is in thought itself, the very thing of which our civilization is most proud, and therefore the one thing that is "hidden" because of our failure seriously to engage with its actual working in our own individual lives and in the life of society." -D. Open a book, open your eyes, open your mind, open your heart.

Open your eyes to the panorama of life. The world has so much more to offer than anyone can see from their own perspective. God created each of us with the gift of choice and reason so we can each be individual expressions of our Creator's glory. As individuals we each have a separate body that experiences and perceives life uniquely. What a joy, but we weren't intended to experience or be able to understand or appreciate the fullness of life alone. Life viewed from any individuals limited perspective is limited.

The Greatest Gift of ALL - DIVINE LOVE

NOW, IT HAD BETTER BE UNDERSTOOD HERE WHAT THIS DIVINE LOVE WAS AND IS, FOR IT IS THE SAME TODAY THAT IT WAS WHEN MAN WAS CREATED IN THE IMAGE OF GOD. THIS LOVE DIFFERS FROM THE NATURAL LOVE OF MAN WITH WHICH HE WAS ENDOWED WHEN CREATED, WHICH BELONGS TO ALL MEN, AND WHICH THEY ALL POSSESS IN A MORE OR LESS PERFECT CONDITION, IN THIS: THAT THE DIVINE LOVE IS THAT LOVE WHICH BELONGS TO OR IS A PART OF GOD, POSSESSING HIS NATURE AND COMPOSED OF HIS SUBSTANCE, AND WHICH, WHEN POSSESSED BY MAN TO A SUFFICIENT DEGREE, MAKES HIM DIVINE AND OF THE NATURE OF GOD. AND GOD INTENDED THAT THIS GREAT LOVE SHOULD BE RECEIVED AND POSSESSED BY ALL MEN WHO SHOULD DESIRE TO RECEIVE IT, AND WHO WOULD MAKE THE EFFORT TO OBTAIN IT.

THINK WELL - LIVE SWELL

 myself I tell.
I can have it my way,
I'll be okay.
Message received,
as I believed.
Time will tell,
 in peace I'll dwell.
I'll live swell,
when I - think well.

WHAT DO YOU EXPECT?

scenario
The Latin word scaenarium, "place for erecting stages," gives us this word and suggests its main meanings: a screenplay, or a postulated sequence of possible events. "Worst-case scenario" outnumbers "Best-case scenario" nearly four to one in modern usage: does this mean we often expect the worst?
