Love Speaks to Me

Love speaks to me
and calls my name.
Never again
am I the same.

Words of Wisdom
line the halls of my mind.
My heart continually fills
with Love from the Divine.

What am I to say?
Don't get in your own way.
I'm here for you
to help you along.
All you need to do is
dance and sing my song.

Say No to Ego

HEAVEN #3707 Say No to Ego, January 18, 2011

God said:

Where do you get naughtiness from? From ego, I expect.

let-go-my-ego

Where do you get the idea that you need to set others straight? Or even put them down? Where do you get the idea that you have to be above all? What makes you think so? Ego, I expect.

Although love makes the world go around, ego has been known to overtake love, push love aside and insert itself. Ego sees need. Ego wants to triumph, and you lose. The world loses when ego struts its stuff. Ego makes a lot of noise.

Ego listens to its own drummer. It doesn’t listen to Me. Ego wants homage given to it. Ego makes you forget that you are to serve. Ego is very needy. It is a pickpocket. It is a marauder. Ego is short-sighted, and yet ego twirls its baton, and you follow it. Not thinking, you get caught up in ego. You march right behind it. There are the times, no matter what, when you surrender to ego.

True, you are sorry later. Beware of what ego tells you is necessary. Ego is necessary to itself. Ego is a strumpet who leads you astray. What do you think ego really gives you? It gives you betrayal.

You never did need ego. Do not adore ego’s false promises. All its promises are false. When ego wins, when you become on top of the world, what does it matter? You have a moment of glamour, and then you are left bereft because what ego gives you is nothing. Ego is such a culprit. Ego is the con-artist of the world. Ego does a good job at what ego does.

Ego is slick. Ego is glib. When ego beckons, you do not have to be under its spell. You do not have to follow. The next time ego taps you on your shoulder, promises you rewards, builds you up, tempts you, wants to pull you away from your path, smile and say: “Thanks but no thanks.”

The only thing ego has to give you is bluster and wrong turns. You can only in the end be embarrassed at your compliance with ego. You were taken in, and now you pay the piper. Ego waltzes off to find another sap to beguile. Ego purveys a false trail. Ego will trip you up every time.

To be egotistic is to be egotistic. All ego can give you is hot air. The bubble bursts. It has been said that pride goeth before a fall. Pride is the fall, beloveds. Pride is a fall from grace. In pride you sell yourself out. You accept dross for gold. A pox on ego. Stay away from it.

And yet here I do a bio of ego. I am making ego important by my very diatribe against it. I tell you to be beware of ego, and so I call your very attention to ego. I tell you to be egoless, and yet My topic is ego. I tell you to erase ego, and I make ego important -- important that you not have it.

And yet I will continue. Ego itself has no pride. It has no shame, no embarrassment. Ego is pretty sure you will come back to it. Ego is a drug dealer on the street corner. Ego gives you a little triumph, and then takes the false joy away and leaves you panting for more. Invariably, ego pulls the carpet out from under you. It wasn’t much of a carpet. Like ego, the carpet was flim-flam.

How many countless times will you be taken in before you wise up to ego? Say No to ego.

Random Acts of Culture

Imagine you went shopping on Saturday, October 30th of this year- to Macy's in Philadelphia - the once magnificent Wanamaker's Department Store with its vast pipe organ at the store's "center court."    You are a bit surprised to see decorations for Christmas and in the midst of your shopping you hear the music from the organ.  Then suddenly you get hit with this "random act of culture."  Catch the expressions and sense of spontaneous worship. last Saturday - to Macy's in Philadelphia - the once magnificent Wanamaker's Department Store with its vast pipe organ at the store's "center court."    You are a bit surprised to see decorations for Christmas and in the midst of your shopping you hear the music from the organ.  Then suddenly you get hit with this "random act of culture."  Catch the expressions and sense of spontaneous worship.

Worth exploring

On my quest for truth, I am continually being made aware of the illuminated visions and paths of so many that came before me here on earth. Many mystic traditions, hidden, now revealed anew.

The similarities are striking. The stories told reverberate the same Truth. So many ask how can this be? Did these sages of old learn this wisdom from one another? Most likely not as vast expanses of time, land, and water separate these wisdom traditions. Many of which have been lost for ages. Hidden then lost. Appearing again to new eyes and new hearts, for those with ears to hear and eyes to see.

So what then could be their common source? I say, THE SOURCE OF ALL.

My most recent interest of inquiry is the Kabbalah, the mystic tradition of Judaism. Kabbalah states that the Creator created all the worlds simultaneously, including our world, and we human beings have to use Kabbalah in our world, the finite material world. In order to further advance our understanding of the wisdom of Kabbalah, we need to lift our mind's eye above the horizon of our material world. Kabbalah clarifies our perception of reality. Below I have linked the book, The Kabbalah - The Mystic Quest in Judaism By Christian David Ginsburg, published in 1865, which I am just beginning to read in an attempt to grasp the spiritual insights therein.

coincidence = synchronicity

What a coincidence.
What about those seemingly random concurrently occurring events?
Are they really random?
Nope, not at all.

LIFE is so much more than a series of random acts and events.
There exists a greater unseen force working behind the scene.
As I have grown an understanding of the value of such phenomena,
I pay careful attention to each occurrence which comes to my awareness.
The words of others which follow best explain my own current understanding.

Carl Jung called these meaningful coincidences in seemingly random events synchronicity.
When you begin seeing coincidences as life opportunities, every coincidence becomes an opportunity for creativity. Every coincidence becomes an opportunity for you to become the person the universe intended you to be.  - Deepak Chopra, SPONTANEOUS FULFILLMENT OF DESIRE - Harnessing the Infinite Power of Coincidence

-------------
Synchronicity is the coming together of inner and outer events in a way that cannot be explained by cause and effect and that is meaningful to the observer. -- Carl Jung
------------
Synchronicity is usually confirmation of whatever it is you are engaged in at the moment. Many people who continually experience meaningful coincidences, acknowledge them to be a kind of personal guidance. The perfect timing arrivals by the right person at the right place is commonly regarded as providential. They are paths our lives may take into the future and by which our personal destinies evolve. People who accept synchronicities as guidance embrace “the authentic life,” which is following our own truth, regardless of the consequences. This is the high destiny that the ancient Greeks called moira which is offered to every human. All synchronicities are indeed signs pointing us in a specific direction at the most opportune moment.

Synchronicity happens to everyone but the person far best qualified to comprehend them is the one whom they occur to. They are personal gifts from a great, caring intelligence responsible for the destiny of the universe. The full appreciation of synchronicity is nothing less than our personal connection with the higher intelligence of the universe. Synchronicities can be seen as little miracles through which an unseen and non-forceful consciousness manifests itself into our lives.

--------------
Synchronicities are events that happen when the universe is trying to tell you something, just as a signpost or mile marker would give you information while traveling in a car. Amazing situations happen when your inner awareness changes. Your energetic thoughts and intents and direction of interests and desires will align with all the natural vibrations around you coalescing into a harmony of vibrational relationships.

The Universe is always willing and waiting to show you something wonderful. Synchronicities bring to light information for your waking consciousness along with your sub/unconscious aspects of your selves gently guiding and directing you to what is in alignment with your own personal growth. Synchronicities whisper into your soul a hint for you to watch and wait. "Expect the unexpected!"

Are you out of tune?

We each need to take time
to tune up and tune in each day
to our Highest Frequency's.

The Love Network
-
 The Wisdom Channel
-
& Abundance Broadcasting.

We have to unplug from the TV, Internet, cell phone, and I-pod to hear our calling.
What calling? The messages you have waiting. The calls you have either missed or ignored are still there. Where? Your personal call waiting system. From whom? That small still voice within.
Yep. You really should take time to listen. Try heeding the messages. Start small and learn to trust. The voice is one of wisdom. Wisdom beyond your immediate knowing. Wisdom from a much higher perspective that ours with feet planted on earth.

I know what I am taking about because I listen. I listen, heed and learn. The time I  spend in quiet, stilling the chatter of my mind strenghtens this higher frequency. Imagine how it is when you are attempting to tune into a radio channel in your car. You might hear a really good music station very softly but it is garbled and overpowered by mixed signals from another station. The more you can quiet the noisy physical world the better chance you have of hearing the softly spoken spiritual quidance.

Life works better for me when I am tuned in to the higher channels.

Youth - A state of mind

Debra laughs with life.

"YOUTH" by Samuel Ullman

Youth is not a time of life; it is a state of mind; it is not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips and supple knees; it is a matter of the will, a quality of the imagination, a vigor of the emotions; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life.

Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite, for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of sixty more than a boy of twenty. Nobody grows old merely by a number of years. We grow old by deserting our ideals.

Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul. Worry, fear, self-distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust.

Whether sixty or sixteen, there is in every human being's heart the lure of wonder, the unfailing child-like appetite of what's next, and the joy of the game of living. In the center of your heart and my heart there is a wireless station; so long as it receives messages of beauty, hope, cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long are you young.

When the aerials are down, and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old, even at twenty, but as long as your aerials are up, to catch the waves of optimism, there is hope you may die young at eighty.

For years, Samuel Ullman (1840-1924) and his prose poem "Youth" have been known and admired by the Japanese.  "Youth"was a favorite poem of General Douglas MacArthur. The poem was on the wall of  MacArthur's office in Tokyo when he became Supreme Allied Commander in Japan. In addition, he often quoted from the poem in his speeches, leading to it becoming better known in Japan than in the United States. However, both the man and his work are largely unknown in the United States, even in Birmingham where he spent the last forty years of his life in service to the community as a businessman, poet, and humanitarian.

Hear the music

Morning Light

When you worry and hurry
through your day,
it is like an unopened gift,
thrown away.
Life is not a race.
Take it slower.
Hear the music
before the song is over.

Exceptional Excerpts from Emerson

Excerpts from Compensation from Essays: First Series (1841)
by Ralph Waldo Emerson

A man cannot speak but he judges himself. With his will, or against his will, he draws his portrait to the eye of his companions by every word. Every opinion reacts on him who utters it. It is a thread-ball thrown at a mark, but the other end remains in the thrower's bag. Or, rather, it is a harpoon hurled at the whale, unwinding, as it flies, a coil of cord in the boat, and if the harpoon is not good, or not well thrown, it will go nigh to cut the steersman in twain, or to sink the boat.
-
There is no penalty to virtue; no penalty to wisdom; they are proper additions of being. In a virtuous action, I properly _am_; in a virtuous act, I add to the world; I plant into deserts conquered from Chaos and Nothing, and see the darkness receding on the limits of the horizon. There can be no excess to love; none to knowledge; none to beauty, when these attributes are considered in the purest sense. The soul refuses limits, and always affirms an Optimism, never a Pessimism.

-
His life is a progress, and not a station. His instinct is trust. Our instinct uses "more" and "less" in application to man, of the _presence of the soul_, and not of its absence; the brave man is greater than the coward; the true, the benevolent, the wise, is more a man, and not less, than the fool and knave. There is no tax on the good of virtue; for that is the incoming of God himself, or absolute existence, without any comparative. Material good has its tax, and if it came without desert or sweat, has no root in me, and the next wind will blow it away. But all the good of nature is the soul's, and may be had, if paid for in nature's lawful coin, that is, by labor which the heart and the head allow. I no longer wish to meet a good I do not earn, for example, to find a pot of buried gold, knowing that it brings with it new burdens. I do not wish more external goods, -- neither possessions, nor honors, nor powers, nor persons. The gain is apparent; the tax is certain. But there is no tax on the knowledge that the compensation exists, and that it is not desirable to dig up treasure. Herein I rejoice with a serene eternal peace. I contract the boundaries of possible mischief. I learn the wisdom of St. Bernard, -- "Nothing can work me damage except myself; the harm that I sustain I carry about with me, and never am a real sufferer but by my own fault."

In the nature of the soul is the compensation for the inequalities of condition. The radical tragedy of nature seems to be the distinction of More and Less. How can Less not feel the pain; how not feel indignation or malevolence towards More? Look at those who have less faculty, and one feels sad, and knows not well what to make of it. He almost shuns their eye; he fears they will upbraid God. What should they do? It seems a great injustice. But see the facts nearly, and these mountainous inequalities vanish. Love reduces them, as the sun melts the iceberg in the sea. The heart and soul of all men being one, this bitterness of _His_ and _Mine_ ceases. His is mine. I am my brother, and my brother is me. If I feel overshadowed and outdone by great neighbours, I can yet love; I can still receive; and he that loveth maketh his own the grandeur he loves. Thereby I make the discovery that my brother is my guardian, acting for me with the friendliest designs, and the estate I so admired and envied is my own. It is the nature of the soul to appropriate all things. Jesus and Shakspeare are fragments of the soul, and by love I conquer and incorporate them in my own conscious domain. His virtue, -- is not that mine? His wit, -- if it cannot be made mine, it is not wit.

Such, also, is the natural history of calamity. The changes which break up at short intervals the prosperity of men are advertisements of a nature whose law is growth. Every soul is by this intrinsic necessity quitting its whole system of things, its friends, and home, and laws, and faith, as the shell-fish crawls out of its beautiful but stony case, because it no longer admits of its growth, and slowly forms a new house. In proportion to the vigor of the individual, these revolutions are frequent, until in some happier mind they are incessant, and all worldly relations hang very loosely about him, becoming, as it were, a transparent fluid membrane through which the living form is seen, and not, as in most men, an indurated heterogeneous fabric of many dates, and of no settled character in which the man is imprisoned. Then there can be enlargement, and the man of to-day scarcely recognizes the man of yesterday. And such should be the outward biography of man in time, a putting off of dead circumstances day by day, as he renews his raiment day by day. But to us, in our lapsed estate, resting, not advancing, resisting, not cooperating with the divine expansion, this growth comes by shocks.

free choice

“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. You're on your own. And you know what you know. You are the guy who'll decide where to go.” - Dr. Seuss

Open a book, open your eyes, open your mind, open your heart.

Open your eyes to the panorama of life. The world has so much more to offer than anyone can see from their own perspective. God created each of us with the gift of choice and reason so we can each be individual expressions of our Creator's glory. As individuals we each have a separate body that experiences and perceives life uniquely. What a joy, but we weren't intended to experience or be able to understand or appreciate the fullness of life alone. Life viewed from any individuals limited perspective is limited.

my confirmation number

1111

I see 11:11  as my confirmation number. It seems several times a day a clock happens to catch my attention at 11:11 or similar as 2:22 or 4:44. Every time, I realize that I just had had an intuitive thought that the old me would have set aside or questioned. So when this happens I now say thank you for the confirmation that I’m on track. I appreciate the help.  - Debra Clemente

11:11
*11:11 - The bridge or transitional zone between the old energy world of duality and the New Energy world of Oneness.
A wake-up/reminder call of the highest order...
confirmation that one's spiritual/awakening journey is right on track.  http://www.pointsofpower.com.au/

Do you see 11:11 ?

How often have you noticed the numbers 11:11, 12:12, 10:10, 22:22, 12:34, 2:22, 3:33, 4:44 or 5:55 popping up all over the place? These number sequences are not necessarily only time prompts. They can also be number sequences, like 333, 1111 etc. To your mind, is this a coincidence, or are they too frequent to be random? Perhaps you are puzzled or amused by this phenomenon? Possibly even a little bit nervous? The question everyone is asking is "What does 11:11 mean?" and "Is there a reason for this?" And there certainly is.

Millions of folks all around the world are now seeing these amazing 11:11 prompts. They are folks of all colors, all religions, all beliefs. It's spreading, and becoming far more common; it's become a major phenomenon. Someone or something is causing all these folks to look at clocks, number plates, phone numbers or any source of numbers even when they make no effort themselves to look for these things. You can even change your clocks in the house, and you will still be prompted, at the "wrong" time. You can't stop it, because YOU aren't doing it. Sometimes you will even see these numbers flashing after a power outage, even though digital clocks are supposed to reset to 12:00, not 11:11 or 12:12!

These 11:11 Wake-Up Calls on your digital clocks, mobile phones, VCR’s and microwaves are the "trademark" prompts of a group of just 1,111 fun-loving Spirit Guardians, or Angels, and the 11:11 prompt is their way of using our innate ability for pattern recognition to let us know that they are here. Once they have your attention, they will use other digits, like 12:34, or 2:22 to remind you of their presence. Invisible to our eyes, they are very real.

Our earthly 1,111 Spirit Guardians, often called "Midwayers," have been assisting folks of all walks of life for many centuries. George Barnard, the original human member of the 11:11 Progress Group, has been privileged to call them his family, his coworkers, friends and teachers for almost 60 years. Get an introduction into some of George's experiences in "From the Desk of George Barnard".

Some folks also notice lights going out or on when they pass by, such as street lights. They may also hear the door bell ring, yet there is no one in sight. It's all due to our fun loving midway friends. They will use almost any electrically controlled device to get your attention. They can and will change traffic lights, but we have found that often damages the electronic circuits, so we don't suggest you ask for that.
