The true movers and shakers of this world have all had to have a deeper connection with the POWER – THE ONE which is in all and thus available to all. Amazing feats of science, art, music and other innovations never came from anyone’s little mind. They originate in DIVINE MIND, whether the individual is aware of this fact or not.
When an individual opens oneself to SOURCE as a free flowing conduit, the amazing is possible. But when one begins to understand the source of the POWER and the laws that guide and direct it, a miraculous life is lived.
Living somewhere between the two, between the ecstasy of creative expression and the agony of real life is the cycle that has caused many a creative genius to insanity! There seems to be no midpoint here. A creative genius either plays the part of martyr or saint, depending on his own self-realization, as a result of soul searching.
As an artist, a creative genius, I can tell the world that one of my kind has plenty of time to soul search, to contemplate. We live in our own little worlds of our imaginations. Trying our best to keep up with the flow of new ideas. Lot’s of time in solitude is necessary to create. We ponder and pause. Stepping back from the rush of the world.
I know for myself that for many years the only time I felt “whole” was when I was painting. I now understand that being “in the flow” was the reason, the reason for my joy, the reason for my feelings of health and peace.
At one time I told my father that all I really wanted to do was paint. Painting was my drug, my escape. I still have my painting but now I have more, so much more. I have a full life of joy. The same flow that I once only knew while standing at my easel now directs my entire life. The more I understand it, the more I am comfortable to release my grip on life and instead go with the flow.

Every day I awaken, I awaken more. The majority of the thoughts I share here are from the hand of others that speak unto my own heart so very clear.

KNOCK
KNOCK AND THE DOOR SHALL BE OPENED.
This gives each of us a "sense of self". The place where we are allowed to call the shots, and thus develop our individuality. That's why our brains are so much bigger than all the other of God's creatures. We use our brain power - our thoughts - to create. We create our lives as we choose. We can do this because we have been given the power of free choice. It's up to each of us to decide whether or not to knock and to ask for help on our journey.
All other of God's creatures except man operate naturally on instinct. I see instinct as similar to intuition in Man. Well, actually it's exactly the same, just perceived differently. As humans with big brains we recognize thought that comes to mind. Then we judge it. We weight it in our minds. When an idea comes to mind we call on reason to decide if it is something we should act upon. We always have to reason to accept a new idea. As our thinking is limited to what we know from our experience, we only see validity in the ideas that are reasonable.
The concepts that come intuitively to us are often unreasonable in our minds yet we still attempt to reason them to validate them to ourselves. The reason that we may not be able to reason the ideas that just "come to us" is that the greater reason for the idea is not currently apparent to us in the state of our limited consciousness. Yet consciousness itself is LIFE, is GOD, and KNOWS ALL. Thus there is always a reason, a very good reason for an inspired thought. These thoughts of inspiration come from our higher self, pure consciousness.
Now all other forms of life don't need a reason to act on their instincts. As they have not the ability to reason they never view these instinctive ideas as separate from themselves. There is not or at least very little thought involved. The idea goes directly into action. Animals don't get the door. They don't have free choice. They don't have a sense of self. That's why a polar bear doesn't decide one day to pack it all up and move south to a warmer beach. He doesn't have a choice. He doesn't even know that he doesn't have a chance to choose. He doesn't need to either as his world works perfectly for him as he intuitively acts through the continuously open channel of his mind to the mind of God.
Mankind has been given a choice an option. We can attempt to do it all ourselves our way or we can knock and ask for help. For the intuitive guidance of God. The quiet voice within.
| "Sienna Doorway" by Debra Clemente |
Just knock. That's how easy it is for each one of us to access the infinite power and wisdom of God. The key here is that we each as individuals have to knock. God is already there waiting. We humans have had a "door" installed at birth. This door separates our "self" from the "Almighty" our source. The One source of all.
This gives each of us a "sense of self". The place where we are allowed to call the shots, and thus develop our individuality. That's why our brains are so much bigger than all the other of God's creatures. We use our brain power - our thoughts - to create. We create our lives as we choose. I don't want to know it
I don't want to know it. Yet, I do. I truely believe it's one of my last vices that have and treasure. Somewhere along the way in the last 5 years I've gotten addicted to Diet Coke. I give it up and then get it again. Each time I swear it off it's after begining reminded of the clear health dangers of the ingestion of aspartame.
Two days ago, I fell off the wagon and bought a 12 pack of Diet Coke with Lime. Ten minutes ago, I popped open a can of the fizzy stuff, poured into a tall glass over ice, enjoyed a refreshing sip and as the Coca Cola company promises had a smile. Then I carried my Coke into our home office, set it beside my computer and opened my e-mail.
My smile went away. I was reminded once again that this stuff is posion for my system. Damn. I don't want to know it, but I do. Everything else that I consiously do in my life is too better my situation for the here and now and the forever, except this. Shit. I have to accept the reality my choices. Why would I knowingly bring the potential of harm to myself?
I'm not going the drink the Coke on my desk. I'm going to pour it out. Then I am going to listen once again to the message being delivered to me. I will listen. I will take heed. I will rejoice in my decision to do the best I know for myself and I will smile.
According to aspartame.org diet soda accounts for 70 percent of the aspartame consumed. A 12 ounce can of diet soda contains 180 mg of aspartame, and aspartame users ingest an average of 200 mg per day.

Let it me known:
On this last day of July,
in the year of 2010,
I, Debra Clemente,
being of sane mind
and wanting to stay that way,
choose not to have the
deadly neurotoxin aspartame,
AS PART A ME.

About Me
- artistdeb
- I'm a passionate fine art painter and spiritual writer awakening to a deeper sense of purpose and connectedness with the universe everyday. As an artist, I express the the joy I feel with the voice of color. Just I as I have been inspired to sing the song of my soul with paint and palette, I am now being prompted to pick up a pen and write. Listen Hear, A Divine Love Story journals a year of my awakening to the Voice of Love. I used to have to guard my thoughts; now my thoughts guard and guide me. It’s like I have a life coach in my head, but the wisdom is from a whole different source than my brain. I invite you to spend sometime here perusing excerpts from my soon to be published book and browsing a gallery of my paintings. It is my wish that what I offer may open a window of new possibility within your heart and mind. And like a “breath of fresh air,” awaken a part of your soul. May your joy be full, Debra Clemente artist/author www.DebraClemente.com www.artistdeb.com
